Mrs. Jake Roobin Mrs. Jake Roobin, 67, prominent Cordele matron, died Friday at her residence at 901 East 19th Avenue. A native of Pembroke, she was the former Anne Morgan daughter of the late Julius and Jessie Gibson Morgan. She had been a resident of Cordele for approximately 45 years. She was a member of B'Nai Israel Temple of Albany. Mrs Roobin was manager for Roobin's Store for Homes. Survivors are her husband Jake Roobin of Cordele; two daughters, Mrs. William Samuels of Atlanta and Mrs. Barry Lurey of Madison; one sister, Mrs. Billy Oliver of Valdosta; two brothers, Julius Morgan of Jacksonville, Fla., and Sigo Morgan of Savannah and five grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Sunday at the Chapel of Hughes and Wright Funeral Home with Rabbi Charles Lesser officiating. Mrs. Alashia Sears, organist, render soft music. Pallbearers were L. J. Roobin, Louis James Roobin, David Roobin, Lennie Roobin, Bill Oliver and Jimmy Coslov. Interment was in Sunnyside Cemetery.
