                    Joe M. Roobin
   Funeral services for Mr. Joe M. Roobin, age 82, of Cordele, will be held at 
4 p.m. Monday, July 3, 1995, at the Chapel of Hughes & Wright Funeral Home 
with interment following in Sunnyside Cemetery.  Hughes & Wright Funeral Home 
is in charge of arrangements.   
   Roobin died Sunday, July 2, 1995, in a local hospital.  A native of Crisp 
County, Roobin was a member of Temple B'Nal Israel of Albany and the retired 
owner of Roobin's Department Store in Cordele.
   Survivors include his wife, Margaret M. Roobin of Cordele; a son, Louis 
Roobin of Cordele; a daughter Beverly Owens of Cordele; three brothers, Jake 
Roobin, and Sam Roobin, both of Cordele, and Dr. Avrom Roobin of Macon; two 
sisters, Mrs Ruby Coslov of Pittsburg, Pa. and Mrs Lena Minkoff of Cordele; 
six grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
