Cordele Dispatch
                 JAMES HENRY SALTER TAKEN BY DEATH
     Mr. James Henry Salter age fifty five died at his home in the Bay Spring
community this morning at two-thirty o;clock. He was a farmer, and had lived all
his life in that community, and had many friends to whom his passing has brought
sorrow.
     He is survived by his wife Mrs. Nancy Rainey Salter, mother Mrs. Walter
Salter. Seven sons; Mark and Ellis Salter of Orlando, Fla.; Johnnie Slater, of
Pinehurst;Ernest, Virgil, Cecil and Claud Salter, of Arabi; three daughters,
Mrs. R. C. Johnson. Misses  Cora and Mildred Salter of Arabi.One brother, J. A.
Salter of Cordele also survives.
     Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at three o'clock at Bay
Spring Baptist church with Rev, John Ben Pate officiating. Interment will be in
the cemetery there. Song selections will be rendered by the Ellis Quartette of
Cordele.
     Sons of the deceased will act as pallbearers.
     Harrison Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
