Williams Author: Larry G. Williams Isaac H. Williams was born in bout 1804 in North Carolina. He married Clarinda McCoy in about 1834 and she was also born in North Carolina. The first records found in Tennessee is in South Nashville, Davidson, Tennessee in the 1850 census. Between 1850 & 1860 they moved to within about 2 miles of the old Cole City RR depot/station which is now under water due to the Nickajack Dam on the Tennessee River. They lived very close to what is now the Nickajack Cave. Their children were: Isaac Newton Williams (Did not move from Nashville with them), James Henry Williams, Robert T. Williams, Amanda M. Williams, Thomas J. Williams and Clarinda (Tolitha) Williams. By 1870 all of the children except their youngest son James Henry Williams had moved away or married. their daughter Clarinda(Tolitha)Williams married Martin Van Buren Webb and they moved to Oklahoma.James Henry Williams lived with his retired father in a Trenton census district in 1870. In about 1875 James Henry Williams married Henrietta Brewer Bice who was divorced from Robert Woods Bice. There were two children by her first marriage: Juda Bice and Robert Bateman Bice. James raised the two children. In 1880 they lived at Beat 13, Dekalb County, Alabama. They had the following children: James Henry Williams, Jr. B:25 Feb 1877 in Dade County; John Isaac Williams B: 29 Nov 1877 in Alabama; George Lafayette Williams B: 25 Feb 1878 in Georgia (Dade County); Thomas Edward Williams B; 28 May 1880 in Georgia; Clarenda Luella Williams B; 05 Feb 1882 in Rising Fawn, GA; Elena Bell Williams B: 13 Dec 1884 in Rising Fawn, GA & Mollie Etta Williams B; 13 Jun 1886 in Tennessee (Probably South Pittsburg) James Henry,Sr. was buried in Moon Cemetery at New hope, Madison, Alabama and he died on 12 Nov 1922. . His wife Henrietta died on 05 Sep 1912 in South Pittsburg, Marion, Tennessee and her location is unknown.
