Lot 101, District 18, Section 4

Recorded: August 24 1859

Lot # 101, District 18, Section 4 in Dade County in this deed of sale shows a 
date of 1839; yet it is recorded in 1859.  It is possible the recording clerk 
made an error in writing the intial date.  I cannot find a deed to show the 
original purchase of the land.  I believe that it was about 1835.

Between 1858 and 1859 the Miller family, father, John, sons, James M., George 
R., and Joseph W. Miller sell their property and begin a move to Texas that 
would end in Arkansas. 

The second part of the deed is a transfer of that land from James Nesbett to 
George H. Hazlehurst. 

Additional Comments:
John Miller was my second great grandfather.  He was married to Nancy Mary 
Wilson, daughter of Joseph Wilson (a trader and a farmer).  They were married 
in Monroe County, Tennessee in 1827.  The family removed to Dade County ca. 
1835.
