This indenture made and entered into this the eighteenth day of June in the 
year of our Lord One Thousand eight hundred and five between Martin D. Rogers 
of the one part and ANNA THOMPSON of the other part both of the county and 
state aforesaid.  Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of One 
Hundred and Twenty dollars paid to the said Rogers by the said Anna Thompson 
at and before the sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt is hereby 
acknowledged the said Rogers has bargained and sold and doth by these presents 
grants, barain and sell unto the said Anna Thompson the one undivided half of 
lot of land number forty nine (4_) in the nineteenth (19) District of the 
fourth section (4) of orginally Cherokee now Dade county the same being the 
north half of said lot including the imporvements where said Rogers now lives 
extending to the spinrg near a lot known as ____ lot (20, 45) and fifty four 
and from said spring due east to the line dividing said lot forty nine and lot 
fifty together with all and singular the rights members and appurtinances 
being belonging or appertaining thereunto.

To have and to hold the same to the only proper use benefit and behalf of her 
the said Anna Thompson will warrant and by these presents forever defend the 
right and title whereof from the claim of himself the said Martin D. Rogers 
his heirs executors and administrators and from the claim or claims of all 
other person or persons whatsoever.  

In testimony whereof the said Rogers hath hereunto set his name and affixed 
his seal the day and year aboe writen signed sealed and delivered in precense 
of us.
