The Constitution, Atlanta, Ga. March 18, 1900
Dawsonville, Ga.,-March 17
Caleb Whitfield, a man about fifty years of age, who lived in Yellow Creek 
district, shot himself through the heart with a gun a few days ago. A note 
found on his person read, "Bury me as I am.  Goodby."  No cause has been 
learned for the deed.
