Harley W. Strickland Dies.
Dawsonville, Ga.,-June 20
Harley Wain (sic) Stickland, aged 39 years, died early Monday morning at the 
home of his brother, Fred Strickland, near Silver City.  He had been in bad 
health for some time.  He was born and raised in Dawson county, being a son of 
the late Mr. and Mrs. John Strickland.  Three sisters and one brother survive 
him.  Internment was at Concord cemetery Monday afternoon, conducted by the 
Masonic fraternity.

Additional Comments:
The WW1 Draft registration card gives the birth date of Harvey Wayne Strickland 
as 6 Feb. 1884, birthplace Dawson County.  His next of kin is listed as his 
Mother, Sarah Strickland.

The newspaper states he died and was buried on Monday June 18, 1923.  The 
Georgia Death Index states he died on Sunday, June 17, 1923.  (Death 
Certificate number 16753-E)
