The deceased was Decatur County's oldest white citizen, and had he lived until the 28th of April would have been 100 years old. He died on the same homestead where he was born in 1849, near the Mt. Pleasant School. He was fully conscious up until the time of his death, quietly going to his reward. The deceased lived to see five generations of his family, and is survived by many grand- children, and great grand-child- ren. Funeral services will be held Sunday April 4th, 11 A. M., at the Primitive Baptist Church near the Mt. Pleasant School in the Northern part of the county. Elder Carl Child of Pelham will conduct the services. Player Funeral Home in charge.
