ANNIE LONG BARFIELD SEPT. 10, 1899 - JUNE 27, 1993 Mrs. Annie Long Barfield, 93, of Whigham died on June 27, 1993 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. Services will be held today at 2:30 pm at El Bethel Baptist Church in Whigham with the Rev. Wayne Meadows and the Rev. Keith Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Walden, Carroll Walden, Ken Barfield, Emory Barfield, Jimmy Cutchens and Brandon Cooper. Honorary pallbearers are deacons of the church. Mrs. Barfield was born on Sept. 10, 1899 in Decatur County. She lived her entire life in Grady County. She was a homemaker and was a charter member of the El Bethel Baptist Church of Whigham. She is preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Barfield. She is survived by three sons, Hugh T. Barfield, William S. Barfield, both of Whigham, and George B. Barfield of Thomasville; three daughters, Margaret B. Bass of Ft. Worth, Texas, Wilma B. Cutchens and Betty B. Shores; both of Bainbridge; 13 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren and seven great great grandchildren. Clark Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 377-1414.
