Benjamin Jan 15, 1926 - Nov 26, 1997 Funeral services for Anthony C. Benjamin, 71, of Bainbridge, will be Sunday, Nov 30 at 2 pm at Trinity Baptist Church in Bainbridge with Dr. Carl G. Garnett officiating. Interment will be in Roselawn Memory Gardens in Bainbridge with Michael Benjamin, Clifford Benjamin, Jr., Larry Benjamin, Max Sorrell, Dan Stone and Robert Williams acting as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be the Decatur County Sheriff's Office. Mr. Benjamin died Wednesday, Nov 26 in Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville. Born in Halcott Center, N.Y. he had lived in Kissimmee, Fla. And Baldwinsville, N.Y. before moving to Bainbridge four months ago. He retired as a dairy products manager in a retail grocery. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Inez "Mickey" Benjamin of Bainbridge: five sons, David A. Benjamin of Bainbridge, Tommy Benjamin, Dewitt "Butch" Benjamin, both of Syracuse, N.Y., Gregory Benjamin of Kissimmee and George Pitts of Vaughn, N.C.; three daughters, Sue P. Marks of Tampa, Fla., Jane P. Saxton of Rome, N.Y. and June p. Stanfield of San Antonio, Texas, a brother Harold Benjamin of Desmeaux, France; a sister, Mamie Goens of Castilton, N.Y. 17 grandchildren and one great grandchild. Visition will be 7 to 9 pm Saturday, Nov. 29 at Ivey Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangement.
