MARIAL BROOKS DIES; FUNERAL SERVICES HELD WEDNESDAY Funeral services for Marion Brooks, 73, of West Bainbridge was held at the West Bainbridge Methodist Church Wednesday afternoon, September 18th (1957) at 4 p.m. The Rev. R. C. Kale officiated and burial followed in the Oak City Cemetery with Ivey Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Brooks died Tuesday, September 17th following an illness of several months. He was a native of Dale County, Ala. And had resided here for the past 13 years. He was a member of the West Bainbridge Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Dorhie Bolton Brooks; two sons, H. L. and H. J. Brooks of Bainbridge; four daughters, Mrs. Lunnett Starling and Mrs. Martha Rogers of Bainbridge, Mr. Inex Donn of Panama City, Fla. And Mrs. Mary Kennedy of Dothan, Ala; one brother, Angus Brooks of Westville, Fla; three sisters, Mrs. Louvena Lloyd of Albany, Mrs. Pearl Simmons, Coffee County, Ala. and Mrs. Leola Madris of Ozark, Ala. Twenty-seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren also survive. Active pallbearers were Edsel Brooks, Walter Lloyd, W. E. Smith, Preston Brooks, Dallas Brooks and James Earl Starling.
