Mr. Califf was born in Decatur County on October 4, 1935, to the late Mr. and Mrs. William "Bill" L. Califf of the Bethel Community. He was owner and operator of Larry's Mobile Home and Repair Service in Bainbridge and was a member of the Bainbridge Church of God. Funeral services were held Saturday, December 5, 1992, at 2 P. M. at the Bainbridge Church of God with the Rev. Robert Varnadore officiating. Interment followed in Bethel Cemetery. Survivors include his wife, Louise Jenkins Califf of Bainbridge; four daughters, Latrisa Roberts of Donalsonville, Pamela Denise Combast of Hudson, Fla., Machelle Harrell of Dover, Del., and Carla Dollar of Bainbridge; two sons, Alex Califf of Tallahassee, Fla., and Dennis Newsome of Jacksonville, Fla.; and 10 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Dean Kirk, Wyndell West, Wayne Freeman, Joey Haire, Joe Lane and Neal Ingram. Source: Miller County Liberal December 10, 1992.
