Olive Church for Mrs. Mary Loud Cloud, age 85, who died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Minnie Loyless, Friday night, October 14, at 9;30 o'clock after a long illness. Mrs. Cloud was born September 5, 1853 in Burke County, Georgia. In her young days she moved to Pike County, Alabama and lived there for several years. After moving to Bainbridge she was married to Mr. William Cloud of this place, who preceded her in death 44 years. She lived a Christian life everyday and was a faithful and devoted mother; grandmother, and great grandmother. She is survived by eight children, Mrs. Minnie Loyless, Mrs. Era King, Mrs. Ethel Cox and Mrs. Gussie King of Bainbridge, Ga., Mrs. Willie Ivey of Donalsonville, Ga., and Mrs. Sophie Griffin of Iron City, Ga., Messer. Henry and Grady Cloud both of Bainbridge, Ga., also 38 grandchildren, and 51 great grandchildren, and a host of friends who mourn her death. "Week not, dear ones, she's gone to rest. To a home beyond the skies: Where God has called her to live with him, Beyond the by and by." Funeral services were held with Rev. O'Neal, Rev. Merritt, and Rev. Dewey Haire of Bainbridge officiating. Interment took place in MT. Olive Cemetery. Those serving as pallbearers were six of the grandsons: John, Grady and W. C. Ivey, Jimmie Loyless, Tommie Cloud and Charlie Griffin. Players Funeral Home in charge. Mary Louisa Baston was born 05 September 1853 in Burke Co., GA and died 14 October 1938 Decatur Co., GA. She was married two times. First marriage to William Cloud 24 October 1875 Decatur Co., GA Book B, Page 214. William Cloud was born abt. 1843 Decatur Co., GA and died 01 August 1894. Mary Louisa Baston Cloud married second Henry Preston King 21 June 1896 Decatur Co., GA Book D, Page 81. Henry Preston King died in 1926.
