Comerford October 24, 1915 - July 24, 1999 Funeral services for E. E. Comerford, 83, of 935 Japonica Drive, Bainbridge were held Monday, July 26, at Cox Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Grubbs and the Rev. Jim Gore officiating. Interment was in the West Bainbridge Cemetery with J. E. Roland, Joe Loyless, Gary Ellison, Durrell Hutchinson, Bobby Grubbs and Jacky Grubbs serving as pallbearers. Mr. Comerford died Saturday, July 24, in the Donalsonville Hospital after a lengthy illness. He was a native of Blountstown, Fla., but lived most of his life in Decatur County. He was a logger and pulpwooder, and worked for Elberta Crate and Box Company for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nellie Eugenia Comerford. Survivors include two sons, Eddie Lee Comerford of Cairo and Charlie E. Comerford of Bainbridge; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Irene Lowe, Susie Chason and Katherine Wilson, all of Bainbridge.
