THOMAS CONYERS Mr. Thomas Conyers, 86, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 198, in Manhattan, Ny. Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 8, 1987, at Mt. Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church at 4:30 p.m. with the Rev. Amos Washington officiating. Interment followed in Bethel Cemetery, Cyrene. Mr. Conyers was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James U. Conyers and was a native of Decatur County, and a former member of Mt. Pleasant Free Will Baptist Church. At the time of his death, he was a member of Faith Baptist Church, Manhattan, N.Y., where he served on the deacon board and was superintendent of the Sunday School. Survivors are: one son, Samuel T. Conyers, California; two grandchildren, Ms. Rosetta Conyers and Mrs. Barbara Edwards, both of New York, N.Y.; three sisters, Mrs. Mary L. Lee, Mrs. Rebecca Conyers, Bainbridge and Mrs. Annie L. Lee, Rochester, N.Y.; four brothers, James Conyers, Luther Conyers Sr., the Rev. Isaac Conyers Sr., all of Bainbridge and Eddie O. Conyers, Tallahassee, Fla; and several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and other relatives. Belin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
