Doris has been a resident of Merced since 1963. Her husband Lt. Colonel Raymond J. Cyr and she enjoyed many years of friendships made and memories of times spent at the Officer's Club Castle Air Force Base. She was an avid bridge player and loved the days spent with her bridge groups over the years. As an officer's wife she enjoyed the military life and spent her days being a wife and homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Lt. Colonel Raymond J. Cyr of Merced; their children, Raymond J. Cyr II and Jerry E. Cyr also of Merced and Gwyn S. Petersen of Sanger. She is also survived by a brother George H. Clark of Bainbridge, Ga, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. A Rosary recital will be held at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church at 9:30 am on Friday with a Memorial Mass immediately following. Rev. Jean Michael Lastiri will officiate under the Direction of Evergreen Funeral Home. Interment will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park following the Mass of Christian Burial. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Alzheimer Foundation would be an honor to her family. Arrangements are under the direction of Evergreen Memorial Home.
