Bennie C. Cumbie and the Rev. S.E. Newberry officiating. Interment was in the Mizpah Cemetery, Pelham, with Glenn Ponder, Ken Ponder, Greg Ponder, Howard Scarborough, Russ Worsham, Chad Carden, Larry Posey and Jay McKenzie serving as pallbearers. Mr. Dean died Monday at his residence. He was a lifetime resident of Grady County and a mechanic. He was a member of New Home Freewill Baptist Church #2 in Climax. Survivors include his wife, Nell Harrell Dean; a daughter, Pamela Dean Crosson of Whigham; a son, Chad Dean, also of Whigham; a sister, Pauline Dorsey of Camilla; a sister, Mary Dean Poulk of Pelham; and a brother, LaVonne Dean of Whigham; and six grandchildren. Clark Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
