This file was contributed by: Brenda King McNair < bmcnair614@aol.com> ============== Mrs. Douglas dies Thursday Funeral services for Mrs. Etta Douglas, 69, of 1219 Troupe Street in Bainbridge were held Saturday, February 17, at 3:00 p. m. from Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Reverend Wayne Craig and reverend Don Matthews officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery with Ivey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Douglas died on February 15 in Memorial Hospital in Bainbridge after an illness of two months. She was a member of Mount Gilead Free Will Baptist Church of Bainbridge, and was a lifetime resident of Bainbridge. Survivors include two sons, Horace Spooner and Frank Spooner, both of Bainbridge; three daughters: Mrs. Mavis Gary of Rockport, Indiana, Mrs. Behre Holmes of Bainbridge and Mrs. Lola Hudson of Newton; one brother, Ralph King of Nashville, one sister, Mrs. Nellie Comerford of Bainbridge; nineteen grandchildren and eight great - grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Walter Brown, Bobby Cloud, C. E. Comerford, Buddy Comerford, Tal Williams and Louis Thomas.
