Mr. P. N. J. Dozier Dies

Mr. Dozier passed away at his home Saturday afternoon, September 9th,
following an illness of several weeks. Mr. Dozier was 83 years of age, and
had been a resident here for great number of years. He was better known
among his many friends as "Judge." His passing has brought a great sadness
to the town and community.

Funeral services were held at his home Sunday afternoon with Reverend James
T. Burrell, of Colquitt, officiating. Interment was in the Bluffton cemetery
with Ward and Wilson, of Dothan, in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Dozier is survived by his wife, who was before her marriage, Miss Emma
Bridges; three daughters, Mrs. P. H. Keaton, of Damascus, Mrs. Larkin
Crumbley, of Boca Grande, Fla.; and Mrs. Jerome Clements of Morgan, Ga.; also
six sons, L. Z. of Chattanooga, Tenn., Pierce of Damascus, Aubry B., Lovette
and Pat of Colquitt, also Paul of Boca Grande, Fla.; also a number of
grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one sister also, Mrs. Jennie Slappy,
of Dothan.
