Durham - 1962 Funeral services for Perry D. Durham, 78, of Brinson were conducted October 22 [1962] at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Julius J. Cox, Rev. Dick Osteen and Dr. Charles Bishop officiating. Interment was in Bethany Cemetery with Ivey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Durham died on October 21 in Donalsonville Hospital after a lengthy illness. A lifetime resident of Brinson, he was a retired farmer and a member of the Bethany Baptist Church. His wife was the former Mrs. Orrie Mock Durham. Survivors include two sons, R. E. Durham of Brinson and S. J. Durham of Tallahassee, Florida; three daughters, Miss Mary Lou Durham, Mr. C. L. Earnest and Mrs. Watson Everett, all of Brinson; one brother H. B. Durham of Brinson; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Active pallbearers were Robert Durham, Eddie Durham, Justus Scott; Rufus Scott, Jessie Durham, John Faircloth, Merrell Eubanks and Lamar Mock. Honorary pallbearers were: Fred Hatcher, Jeff Bennett, Willie Johnson, Jimmy Griffin, Ira Ingram, W. O. Green, Eustace Rich, Ralph Rich, C. P. Eagerton, Roland Wheeler, Henry Smith, D. M. Langston, Will Brogdon, J. W. Matthews and Will Everett.
