Boyce bonedigger42@hotmail.com ==================================================================== The following Obituary appeared in the Post Searchlight, Bainbridge, GA Mrs. Bowen (Inez) Earnest Mrs. Owen (Inez) Earnest, Rt. 1, Brinson died Monday Oct 5, 1987 at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was 81, and the widow of the late Bowen Earnest. Funeral services for Mrs. Earnest were Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1987 at 3 pm at Calvary Assembly of God Church with the Revs. James Rathel, J. A. Tate and Wayne Thomas officiating. Mrs. Earnest's grandchildren were the active pallbearers. Interment followed in the church cemetery. Mrs. Earnest was born in Seminole County May 9, 1906, where she lived her entire life. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church. She was also secretary treasurer of the Sunday School department of the church and a charter member. She is survived by two daughters, Allean Alday of Donalsonville, and Jeanette Miller of Donalsonville; five sons, Ralph Earnest, Brinson, the Rev. Curtis Earnest, Century, Fla., Henry Earnest, Donalsonville, Lawrence Earnest, Brinson; one sister Evelyn Kirkland, Fayetteville, three brothers Norman Merkison, Bainbridge, Alton Merkison, Donalsonville and Elmer Merkison, Bainbridge. 18 grandchildren and 49 great grandchildren. Cox Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
