This file was contributed by: Gerald Hobson Gdhobgen@aol.com ==================================================================== From The Post-Searchlight Bainbridge, Georgia (Decatur, Georgia) Wednesday, December 31, 1986 Mr. Joseph Byron Eberhart, 90, a six-year resident of Bainbridge, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 1986, at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 27, 1986, at 10 a.m. at Ivey Funeral Home Chapel and interment followed at Oak City Cemetery. The officiating minister was Dr. William Oliver. Mr. Eberhart was born in York, Neb., on June 21, 1896, and was a former resident of Orlando, Fla., before moving to Bainbridge. He was a retired sales representative with Coats and Clark and a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Mary Grace Russell Eberhart of Bainbridge; one daughter, Gerry Swicord, of Bainbridge; one son,. Roy Eberhart, of Clearwater, Fla.; and one brother, Ray Eberhart, of Limon, Colo.; as well as four grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Ivery Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
