Gardner Buried Sunday, August 24 [1947] Durant Warfield Gardner, 66, died suddently at his home near Bainbridge Friday evening, August 22, at nine o'clock. Mr. Gardner was a prominent farmer in this section and a member of the Methodist church. He is survived by his wife, four daughters, Mrs. S. Margaret Thomas of Miami Beach, Fla., Ann, Adonis and Alsie Gardner all of Bainbridge; five sons, D. W., Jr., Vern, Rufus, Thomas and Jimmie Gardner all of this city. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon, August 24 at the Baptist Church in Brinson with the Reverend Charles Bishop officiating. The following gentlemen served as active pallbearers: Norman Sellers, Felton Logue, C. O. Sellers, W. H. Hurst, Cliff Bates and R. F. Bullard. Interment was made in the Brinson Cemetery.
