Hinson, 53 of Bainbridge, died Friday at Bainbridge Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 2pm Sunday at Decatur County Memorial Coliseum with the Revs. Julian Tucker and K.L. Claycomb officiating. Burial will follow in the Tallahassee Memorial Gardens, Tallahassee Florida. Pallbearers will be his nephews, Honorary Pallbearers will be the Decatur County school personnel. Surviving are his wife, Betty Nichols Hinson of Bainbridge; three sons Ronald E. Hinson II, Howard Marlowe Hinson and John Garrett Hinson, all of Bainbridge; one brother Elton F, Hinson of Brunswick; six sisters, Juanita Tasciotti of St. Simons Island, Maida Hanchey of Twin Falls, Idaho, Reba Farmer, Velva Allen and Irma Davis, all of Waycross, and June Drumps of Brunswick; One granddaughter and other relatives, Hinson, formerly of Brunswick, was the principal fo Bainbridge High School. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Bainbridge. A graduate of Waycross High School, he attended Florida State University and played on the FSU football team in 1957, 1958 and 1959. He graduated from Southwest Missouri State College and earned a master’s degree from FSC in 1971. He worked in public school systems in Georgia and Florida. Ivey Funeral Home of Bainbridge is in charge of arrangements.
