Kilkary, a member of the Robson Theater Company, that is playing here this week, committed suicide at the Sharon House. The only reason assigned for the act was an estrangement between Kilkary and his wife, who is also a member of the company. Kilkary being very despondent after the performance went to his room and took a dose of morphine, but not a sufficient quantity to kill him. He then bought a drachmn of morphine and swallowed the entire contents of the bottle. It appears that the drug did not take effect for several hours, as he appeared at the theater apparently with the intention of taking his part in the performance, but he was not in a condition to go on the stage. His wife and other members of the company being alarmed summoned a physician. Kilkary was taken to the Sharon House and carried to his room, where he soon fell into a deep slumber and all efforts to save him were futile.
