Roger was born in Donalsonville October 15, 1982, and had lived in Jakin all his life. He attended Iron City Church of God. Funeral services for Roger was held Saturday, April 11, at 2:00 P.M. from the chapel of Edsel W. Bryan Funeral Home. Rev. J. H. Moss and rev. Tommy Toth officiated. Interment followed in the Springfield Church Cemetery in Jakin. Pallbearers were David Love, Ed Berry, David Frith, Steven Frith, Eric Gaulden and Eugene Faircloth. Survivors include his father, Billy W. King, Bainbridge; his maternal grandparents, Clifford N. and Wynell Love Murkerson, Jakin; his paternal grandparents, William D. and Jimmie Ruth King, Bainbridge; his paternal great-grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cumbie, Bainbridge; and his maternal great-grandfather, Clarence Murkerson, Jakin.
