David Blalock and the Rev. David Barrett officiating. Interment will follow in Oak City Cemetery with George McDougald, Jr., Mack McDougald, Tommy McDougald, Larry McDougald, Larry Harrison, Tommy King, Curtis King and Buryl Logue serving as active pallbearers. All members of the Wesley Fellowship Sunday School Class will be honorary pallbearers. Mrs. King died September 13 at the home of her son, Ed King, in Decatur after a lengthy illness. She was born in Beverly, Fla. and lived most of her life in Decatur County, where she was a housewife. A member of the First United Methodist Church, she was a member and former president of the Simmons Circle of the United Methodist Women, a member and former treasurer of the Wesley Fellowship Sunday School Class, and a former Sunday School Teacher in the Primary Department of the church. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter # 267 of Bainbridge, Ambassadors of the Georgia Power Company of Bainbridge, and a former member and treasurer of the Azalea Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom King. Survivors include one son, Ed King of Decatur; a sister Carrie M. Hodgins of Bainbridge; three grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; and other relatives. Cox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 246-4411. Source: Volume 92. No. 74. She was married to William Edward "Tom" King on 27 March 1930 in Decatur Co., GA Book J, Page 372. Tom was born 13 June 1908 and died 17 May 1980, son of Hugh Saxton King and Elizabeth E. "Lizzie" Cloud.
