This file was contributed by: Brenda King McNair bmcnair614@aol.com ==================================================================== Lettie McLendon Loyless Mrs. Lettie McLendon Loyless, age 78, of Donalsonville, died Tuesday, May 7, 1991, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Ala. Born in Miller County on July 27, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Charles I. and Rannie Newberry McLendon. Mrs. Loyless had resided for many years in Brinson. She was the widow of George W. Loyless, who owned and operated Loyless Doughnut Shop for 46 years. She was a charter member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Baptist. Funeral services for Mrs. Loyless were held Thursday, May 9, at 2 p. m. at the First Church of Nazarene in Bainbridge. The Rev. Wayne Fisher and the Rev. Talmadge Worsley officiated. Interment was in Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Miller County. Pallbeares were Gary McLendon, David McLendon, Jerry McLendon, Jimmy Slocumb, Edwin King and Dolan Busbee. Survivors include: three sons, Garland Loyless of Avon, Ala., Joe Loyless of Bainbridge, and James "Pete" Loyless of Byers, Texas; one daughter, Mavis Brooks of Donalsonville; three brothers, Rabon McLendon, Cecil McLendon and Talmadge McLendon, all of Colquitt; 20 grandchildren; and 24 great - grandchildren.
