This file was contributed by: Ina Bohannon ibohannon@jrhoffmanagency.com ==================================================================== From The Bainbridge Post Searchlight March 1936 Death of Mrs. Fannie Martin Many hearts were saddened by the death of Mrs. Fannie Martin which occurred Wednesday, March 11th, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. G.W. Deese. Mrs. Martin was 75 years of age. She was a loving mother and Christian character. She was the widow of the late G.J. Martin and mother of the late S.W. Martin of this county. Those left to mourn her death are four children, Mr. Roy P. Martin, Mrs. G.W. Deese, Mrs. L.H. Cooper, all of Bainbridge, Mrs. Virtner Taylor of Jacksonville, Fla. The funeral services were held at Sutton Chapel Methodist Church with the Reverend Thompson and Reverend Wells officiating. Those acting as pallbearers were the grandsons, Edward Brooks, Albert Brock, Lee Dollar, J.R. Deese, Cecil Martin, Adolph Brock. Internment was in Oak City Cemetery. J.J. Edge Funeral Home in charge.
