A. Hospital. Leavenworth, Kan. after a three month-long illness. Funeral services were held February . 20, 1986, at 11 a. m. at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Short officiating. Interment followed in the Oak City Cemetery. Mr. McNair was born May 25, 1909, in Bainbridge. He had lived here the past 35 years. He had worked at Jake's Pawn Shop the past 20 years. He was a retired chief machinist mate with the U. S. Navy after serving 20 years. Mr. McNair was a member of the First Baptist Church where he was a member of the Baraca Sunday School Class. He was a lifetime member of the V. F. W. Post 4904 and was a member of the American Legion Post # 62. He was the widower of Florence Neidenberg McNair. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. F. G. (Sandra) Calloway, Smithville, Mo.; one grandson, Peter Darren Calloway, U. S. Air Force, Wichita, Kan.; and one sister, Mrs. Grace Castleberry, Bainbridge. Active pallbearers were Jake Wolffe, Jack Palmer, Roscoe Simpson, Louis White, E. W. (Shorty) Phillips and Duaine Hatcher. Honorary pallbearers were all members of the Baraca Sunday School Class.
