McNair Dies July 1st Friends here were shocked to learn of the death of G. S. McNair which took place Sunday evening, July 1st, at his home on West St. He is survived by his mother, Beulah Haygood McNair of this city and one brother, Mr. Hugh McNair of South Bend, Ind. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, July 3, at 5:00 o'clock from the Chapel of the E. W. Cox Funeral Home. The Reverend B. A. Pafford officiated. Interment was made in the Oak City Cemetery. The following gentlemen served as active pallbearers: Doug Hawkins, Lee Parker, Lucius Tennille, L. H. Tonge, Bill Botts and W. J. Brady. E. W.
