She was 88. Services will be held today at 3 p. m. at the Pine Forest Baptist Church with Dr. Charles Pollock officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Forest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Daniel Fewell, Russell McNair, Randall McNair, Tommy McNair, Wade Alday, Ken Alday, Jeff Alday, Greg McNair and Tim McNair. Honorary pallbearers will be all male members of the Pine Forest Baptist Church along with Jackie Jackson, Elmer Dollar and Dr. Henry Bridges. Mrs. McNair was born on March 2, 1903, in Decatur County where she had lived most of her life. She was a housewife and had worked as a seamstress at Jack Winter, Inc. of Bainbridge for a number of years before her retirement. She was a member of the Pine Forest Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher and had been the pianist for the church for many years. She was a member of the Golden Agers Senior Citizen's Club of Climax. She is preceded in death by her husband, George Lee McNair. She is survived by two daughters, Wynelle Fewell of Whigham and Joyce Thompson of Jonesboro; two sons, John (Buck) McNair of Climax and Robert P. McNair of Bainbridge; three sisters, Elma Kerr of Kissimmee, Fla., Bernice Powe of Whigham and Beulah Mitchell of Bainbridge; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
