Mock, Sr. 1951 Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at four o'clock at the Mock Cemetery for Mr. Solomon Mock, Sr. who died Saturday July 7, [1951] after an illness of several weeks. Mr. Mock was born in Decatur County eighty two years ago and spent his entire life in this community where he was engaged in farming for many years. For over fifty years he was a steward in the Methodist Church and for the same length of time was a Master Mason. He is survived by three sons and one daughter; Ted Mock, R. S. Mock, Jr. and Miss Annie Mock, all of Route 3, Bainbridge and Claude Mock of Columbus, Georgia. Graveside services were conducted by the Reverend C. H. Fort, with the Masonic committal service by the members of Orion Lodge No. 8. Active pallbearers were E. M. Rich, Rufus Drinkwater, Austin Phillips, E. R. Young, A. E. White and Cecil Mills. Honorary pallbearers were members of Orion Lodge No. 8. Ivey Funeral Home was in charge.
