FRANCES E. NICHOLS April 4, 1911 – March 26, 1992 Mrs. Frances E. Nichols of Bainbridge died March 26, 1992, at Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness. She was 80. Services are today at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Frank Short and the Rev. Ron Geiger officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Louis White, Paul Ragan, David Henry, Michael Nichols, Herb Williams and Charlie Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be the members of the Baraca Sunday School Class. Mrs. Nichols was born on April 4, 1911, in Naples, Fla., and she lived in Decatur County for the past 21 years. Prior to that, she made her home in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., where she was a housewife. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Philathea Sunday School Class. She was the widow of the late George William Nichols, Sr. and she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Louise Geiger of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Mrs. Georgia Williams of Albany; two sons, Dr. George W. Nichols, Jr., of San Antonio, Texas, and James Franklin Nichols of Atlanta; two brothers, Dwight Tomlinson of Naples and Ed Tomlinson of Washington, D.C.; 14 grandchildren and five great- grandchildren.
