Rev. E. R. Cloud

February 24, 1912 - December 10, 1995

Funeral services for the Reverend E. R. Cloud, 83, of Bainbridge were held 
Tuesday in Mount Olive Baptist Church with Dr. Joe Beauchamp and the Reverend 
Kenneth Cloud officiating.

Interment was in the church cemetery with Matt Cloud, Emmett Cloud, Kevin 
Cloud, Ronald Cloud, Terry Bell, Elliot Jenkins, Trent Heard and Ricky Bland 
serving as pallbearers.

The Reverend Cloud died at his residence Sunday, December 10.  He was a 
lifetime resident of Decatur County and was retired farmer and minister.  He 
was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church.  For 35 years he served as pastor 
of several churches including Mount Olive Baptist Church, Pleasant Hill Baptist 
Church and Pine Forest Baptist Church in Decatur County; Elam Baptist Church in 
Dixie and Delwood Baptist Church in Mitchell County.  He was preceded in death 
by his wife, Neville Jones Cloud.

Survivors include five sons, William E. "Bill" Cloud of Bainbridge, Nolan E. 
Cloud of Athens, H. Wayne Cloud of Statesboro, Julian R. Cloud of Valdosta and 
M. Newton Cloud of Tallahassee, Fla.; two sisters, Alma Herring and Doris 
Prestage, both of Savannah; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to one's favorite church ministry.

Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
