A. Cloud Funeral services for Mr. Edward Albert Cloud, 82, of 206 Independent St., Bainbridge, were conducted Saturday, Sept. 19 at 3:00 p. m. from Cox Funeral Chapel with Mr. Bill Bridges and Mr. Max Kelly officiating. Interment was in Oak City City Cemetery with Cox Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Mr. Cloud died on Sept. 18 at Fidelis Nursing Home in Bainbridge after a lengthy illness. Born in Decatur County on November 7, 1887, he had lived in this county all his life where he was self employed as a well driller. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a member of American Legion Post No. 62. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Margaret Avo Boles Cloud of Bainbridge; Three daughters: Mrs. Edith Kirksey of Dawson, Mrs. Margaret Holliman of Atlanta and Mrs. Joanne Newberry of Bainbridge; one son Philip B. Cloud of Terrance, California; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. His parents were the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry R. Cloud. Active pallbearers were: Tom King, Dewitt King, Larry Harrison, Lee Young, Claude Funderburke and Custer Clayton. Source: The Post - Searchlight, Thursday, September 24, 1970, Front Page.
