Roddie L. Cloud 

Funeral services for Roddie L. Cloud, 53 year old resident of Bainbridge were 
conducted from the Bethany Baptist Church Sunday, May 17 at 4 o'clock P. M. 
with Rev. Carl Culpepper, Rev. Lee Wilson and Rev. Emmett Cloud officiating.

Mr. Cloud passed away at his residence after a lengthy illness.  The deceased 
was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lee Cloud and had spent his life in 
Decatur County.  He was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church.  At the time of 
his death he was engaged as a night watchman.

He is survived by his wife Mrs. Ruby Agnes Ward Cloud; two daughters, Mrs. 
Myram Barrineau of Cairo and Mrs. Mildred Ezell of Thomasville; three sons, 
Kenneth Cloud of Atlanta, Roddie Manget Cloud of Hatteras, North Carolina and 
Angelo Cloud of Bainbridge; 4 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. J. A. Grantham 
of Bainbridge, Mrs. H. L. Hartzog of Winter Garden, Fla., and Mrs. Ben King of 
West Bainbridge; one brother, C. M. Cloud of Bainbridge.

Those serving as active pallbearers were: Grover Baker, Ira Ingram, Bobbie 
Willis, Rev. R. M. Dykes, J. R. Dean and Charles Barber.

Honorary pallbearers included Ray Smith, Benny King, Bill King, Cliff 
Youngblood, W. R. Davis, Lane McLendon, Perry Ivey, Dr. John Grimsley, Dr. L. 
W. Willis, Jr., Neil Howell, John White, Jake Wolffe, C. B. Rogers, Grady 
Josey, Austin Phillips, Dave Miles and Ed Mitchell.

Interment followed in Bethany Cemetery with Ivey Funeral Home in charge of 
arrangements.

Additional Comments:
Roddie Lee Cloud was a son of Reuben M. Lee Cloud and Jessie Theodoshia Deliah 
Granttham.  He was born 06 August 1910 in Decatur Co., GA. He was married first 
to Viola Smith on 24 May 1936.  He was married second to Ruby Agnes Ward 01 May 
1938.
