Bainbridge Post Searchlight, June 23, 1938
Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, June 20th at the Mt. Pleasant 
Church for Mr. James Jefferson Hutto, 66, of the Mt. Pleasant community who 
died Saturday, June 19th at 11:45 o'clock at a local hospital after an illness 
of several weeks.

Mr. Hutto is survived by his wife, one brother, Lonnie Hutto, of Donalsonville; 
three sons, Jessie, James and Elmer Hutto of Bainbridge; three daughters, Mrs. 
T. C. Donalson and Mrs. W. G. Goddon (Godwin) of Camilla and Mrs. A. F. Lewis 
of Montgomery.

The services were conducted by the Rev. T. T. Regisby, assisted by the Rev. H. 
W. Sullivan.  The body was laid to rest in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

The following gentlemen served as active pallbearers:  Messrs. E. L. Martin, 
Jack Martin, John Hutto, S. F. Cochran, Gordon Dean and Willie Brown.
