Getha Cox Granthum

April 10, 1914 - Aug. 13, 1993



Mrs. Getha Cox Granthum, 79, of Bainbridge died on August 13, 1993, at 

Tallahassee Community Hospital.



Mrs. Granthum was born on April 10, 1914, in Decatur County, where she lived 

her entire life.  She was retired supervisor at Bainbridge State Hospital and 

was a member of West Bainbridge Baptist Church.



She is survived by two sons, Bobby Granthum of Bainbridge and Tommy Granthum of 

Brinson; four daughters, Phyllis Glisson of San Antonio, Texas, Marti Beard of 

Atlanta, Barbara Finuff of Chattahoochee, Fla., and Dottye Muhs of Anchorage, 

Alaska; one sister, Lois Yawn of Bainbridge; 11 grandchildren and six great - 

grandchildren.



Services were held on Aug. 17 at West Bainbridge Baptist Church with Dr. Marvin 

L. Fowler officiating.  Burial followed at MT. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery.



Ivey Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

to Thomas Charley Granthum.  She was a daughter of Walter Cox and Ethel Cloud.
