Mrs. Cowart was born Sept. 9, 1908, in Decatur County. She was a member of Pelham First baptist Church, Golden Age Group and was a homemaker and a retired nurse. She is survived by her husband, Pete Cowart of Pelham; one son, Ivey Minghini of Albany; one brother, W. C. Ivey of Webaska, Ariz.; four sisters, May Bell Correntti of St. Louis, Sallie March of Ocala, Fla., Gladys Antonio of Ocala and Kathleen Johnson of Tallahassee, Fla., and two grandsons, Todd Minghini of Atlanta and Jim Minghini of Columbus. Services were held on Aug. 6 at Pelham First Baptist Church with Dr. Hal Hunter and Dr. Don Long officiating. Burial followed in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. Pallbearers were Alex Morrell, Wayne Miller, Mike Armstrong, Kirk Harrell, Todd Minghini, Jim Minghini and Ivey Minghini. Braswell Funeral Home of Pelham was in charge of the arrangements.
