Tony Martin



Tony Martin, 24, of Ripley, Mississippi, died February 19, 1981 in Ripley 

following an accident.



Funeral services will be conducted Saturday February 21 at 2 p. m. from Calvary 

Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Russo and Rev. Jim Moore officiating.  Interment 

will follow in West Bainbridge Cemetery.



Mr. Martin as a native of Bainbridge and lived here until three years ago.  He 

was a plant supervisor for Pep Industries in Ripley.  He was a member of 

Calvary Baptist Church. 



Survivors include his mother, Mrs. Edna N. Martin, Bainbridge; one brother, Ted 

Martin, Bainbridge; three sisters, Mrs. Faye Edmunds, Atlanta, Mrs. Ann Martin, 

Sarasota, Fla.; and Mrs. Martha Gilmore, Nashville, Tenn.; and several nieces 

and nephews.  



Active pallbearers will be Johnny Turner, Charles Rush, Norwood Williams, Edwin 

McCullers, Wayne Martin and Bill Galpin.



Honorary pallbearers are Amos Kelly, Gary Kelly, Clint Baell, Jimmy Martin, 

Kenneth White, Roy Simpson, Johnson Parker, Larry Smith, Red Jackson, Danny 

Brock, Jimmy Ward, L. B. Ritch, J. L. Ward, Larry Funderburk, Jimmy Hall, Roger 

Moore, Jimmy Duke, Bill Fite, Wesley Powell, DeVaughn Valentine, Shelton Smith.



Roy Harrell, Aubrey Womack, Cotton Hester, James Atkins, Danny Drewery, Jack 

Stocks, Temp Chapman, Johnny Robinson and the men of the Evangel Temple 

Assembly of God Church.



Ivey Funeral Home of Bainbridge is in charge of arrangements.
