Mr. Reynolds died at his home here, following a lengthy illness, on February 27. He was preceded in death on July 24, 1958 by his wife, the former Julia Ann Chason. Mr. Reynolds was the oldest native born citizen of the county. He was born in 1868, in what is now Seminole County, to Roland Reynolds and Lilla Overstreet. He was a member of the Salem Masonic Lodge for the past 50 years, and a member of the First Baptist Church. The late Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds celebrated their 69 wedding anniversary before she died last year. Survivors include five sons, Owen Reynolds, Gettysburg, Pa., William G. Reynolds of Enterprise, Ala., James T. Reynolds, Atlanta, Earl Reynolds, Chicago, Ill., and Arthur B. Reynolds of Donalsonville. Four daughters, Mrs. E. S. Davis, Acworth, Ga., Mrs. A. D. Sheffield, Donalsonville, Mrs. B. W. Connell, Dothan, and Mrs. F. C. Pickron, Albany. Also, 27 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren. Officiating at the services were Rev. Clifford Jett, Rev. J. I. Summerford and Rev. Luther Hastey. Serving as pallbearers were John O. Wilkes, Champ Bridges, Gibson Youmans, Herbert Bridges, Otis Brackin and Perry Walker. Forming an honorary escort were N. P. Malcom, Thomas Morris, Luke Spooner, W. C. Lynn, Jeff Spooner, T. P. McDonald, Joe Kirkland, Cecil Hill, Walter White, Owen Weeks, Bartow Gibson, Windy Bivings, Carl Patterson, A. J. Jones, Shafter Faircloth, F. B. Melton, D. F. Wurst, Buck Jones, Jimmy Jones, Grady Woods, J. J. Hanna, Julian Boyer and Lonnie Jernigan. Evans Funeral Home directing the arrangements.
