The following Obituary appeared in the PostSearchlight Newspaper............

LEATHA AUGUSTA OWENS
MARCH 20, 1907 - JUNE 16, 1993

Mrs. Leatha Augusta Owens of Bainbridge died on June 16, 1993, at her 
residence.  She was 86.

Mrs. Owens was born on March 20, 1907 in Miller County where she had lived 
for several years.  She was retired and was a member of First African 
Baptist Church.

She is survived by two daughters,  Mrs. Willona  Levens of Bainbridge and 
Mrs. Vivian Dupuy of Rockville, Md.  Two granddaughters, one grandson, seven 
great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services were held June 22 at First African Baptist Church on Webster Street 
with the Rev. Joe L. Sweet and the Rev. John Thomas officiating.  
Pallbearers were deacons and trustees of the church.

Belin & Sons Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
