This file was contributed by: Brenda King McNair < bmcnair614@aol.com> ============== Mrs. Charity Tipton Dies Funeral services for Mrs. Charity Tipton were held Tuesday, August 16th, from Spring Creek Church. Mrs. Tipton died at the age of 77 on Monday, August 15th, after an illness of one week caused from a broken hip. Having been born in 1872, she had lived in Seminole County all her life and was an active member of the Spring Creek Church. Children surviving her are one daughter, Mrs. G. A. Branch, of Brinson, and five sons: Mr. Ben Tipton, of Columbus; Mr. Ed Tipton, of Donalsonville; A. V. and Charlie Tipton, of Bainbridge; and Mr. Rufus Tipton, of Stone Mountain, Georgia. She also leaves two sisters, Mrs. Sid Alday of Donalsonville and Mrs. Ben Johnson of Bainbridge, and one brother, Mr. Cleveland, of Bristol, Florida. The Reverend Wiggins was the officiating minister, assisted by Reverend Thompson and serving as pallbearers were M. J. and Frank Conyers, J. P. Boyett, Bob Kukles, Hedrick Braswell and Ernest Smith. Evans and Sons were in charge of the funeral arrangements.
