His first name was Doctor. He also used the initials D. L. Lambert but he was not known as Lovinsky. His parents were Lovinsky Lambert and Martha Payne Lambert. Georgia Decatur County To any minister of the gospel, judge, justice of the interior court, or justice of the peace. You are hereby authorized to join Dock Lovinsky Lambert and Catharine Spooner in the holy bonds of matrimony, according to the laws of said state; and for so doing, this shall be your sufficient license. Given under my hand this 16th day of November 1857. J. Lass, Ordinary Georgia Decatur County I do certify that Dock Lovinsky Lambert and Miss Catharine Spooner were duly joined in matrimony by me, this nineteenth day of November 1857. William Chester, J. Lambert who after being duly sworn on oath says that the applicant for pension, Mrs.. M.E. Bates*, who was the widow of John Pope is my sister, and that said Mrs. M.E. Bates prior to her marriage to Tillman Bates deceased was married to John Pope at my father's house in Decatur County GA on October 31st 1860. I was present at the marriage, and saw the same married by Rev. J. Martin. And they lived as husband and wife until his death in battle July 1864."
