And during his last sickness, and about four days before his death, while in the perfect possession of his mental faculties, as appeared to us. The said, HARMON MOCK, SR called upon the bystanders and upon the undersigned more particularly, to remember and take notice of what he was about to say, when he said he was not able to make a written will and did not know how soon he might drop off and while he was in his senses, he had better tell us what he desired to be done with his property. He said he wanted us to understand that his will and desire was that he wanted his debts paid and then he wanted his property to be equally divided among his heirs, and Sarah Parrott, as an heir, the said Sarah Parrott to have an heirs part in lieu of all that he might be indebted to her as her guardian or on account of having been her guardian which he said was about sixty dollars. He also desired that in addition to an heirs part, the said Sarah Parrott should have a spring bedstead and bed complete, one side saddle and an outfit of clothing to be paid for out of his estate. He desired the share of his estate going to the orphan children of Chesley Mock, deceased, to be turned over to a suitable Guardian of said children for their use. And he desired and requested his son Harmon Mock, JR might see that his will and desire might be carried out as his executor in this regard.
