Mr. Barber, whose car collided with an Oglethorpe University street car, was internally injured. He was lifted from his demolished machine and carried to the Atlanta hospital where he died shortly after 2 o’clock. He is survived by his widow, a son, Fred L. Barber, Jr., a student at Oglethorpe University, and a brother, Clint Barber, well-known musician of Atlanta. No case was made as a result of the accident and none is contemplated, according to an assistant of J.A. McCurdy, Sheriff of Decatur.
