Victim of Crash Dies In Hospital

Frederick Barber, principal of the Barber Conservatory of Music, who was 
injured in an automobile-street car accident late Wednesday night on the 
Wieuca road, died Thursday morning at a local hospital.

Mr. Barber, whose car collided with an Oglethorpe University street car, was 
internally injured.  He was lifted from his demolished machine and carried to 
the Atlanta hospital where he died shortly after 2 o’clock.

He is survived by his widow, a son, Fred L. Barber, Jr., a student at 
Oglethorpe University, and a brother, Clint Barber, well-known musician of 
Atlanta.

No case was made as a result of the accident and none is contemplated, 
according to an assistant of J.A. McCurdy, Sheriff of Decatur.
