I.T. Tichenor D.D., secretary emeritus of the home mission board of the Southern Baptist convention and one of the best known divines in the south, died Tuesday afternoon at 12:05 o’clock at his home near Decatur, Ga. Dr. Tichenor had been ill for several months with a complication of diseases. His condition was such that for several weeks no hope had been entertained for his recovery. The venerable minister had reached the age of 77 years at the time of his death. He leaves four children, three daughters and a son, his wife having died many years ago.
