Attlanta Constitution, 3 May 1870
William Thurman, Esq., died in Carroll county last Tuesday,in the 91th [or 
94th] year of his age.  He was one of the first settlers of DeKalb county, and 
lived within two miles of this city for thirty-five years.  He died as he had 
lived, a true christian and exemplary citizen.
